Third & Final Draft Nearly Complete

Yeah yeah. I know everybody is sooooo surprised to see a 3am post from me.

The third and, I believe, final draft is nearly complete. I’ve run through it a couple times and fixed the most horrible parts as best I can. I’m actually stuck on two title chapters at the moment, believe it or not.

I know it all sounds silly and trivial, but once I decided to actually name the sections I felt the need to do it properly. Two chapter titles. That’s pretty much all that’s holding the story back. If they come to me tomorrow, then chances are the story will be posted the same day.

The biggest hold up will be figuring out how to properly format it for the website. Yes, the details matter to me.

I’m also going to be counting on feedback. Preferably, not just praise to make me feel good about the whole thing. Of course that doesn’t mean trash me either. The wife actually did a pretty good job looking at things and identifying confusing sections or repetitive areas. That’s great stuff. I’ve discovered that when you write it, even bad stuff sounds good in the excitement of creation. Once someone else looks at it, though, you realize how much it sucked. Then you get to fix it and that’s really cool.

So keep an eye out. One thing I think I’ve learned is that a story is never truly finished, but at some point you have to let it see some daylight.

The current working title is: Once a hero. Always a hero.

The previous working title was: One world’s loss…
